Auditing Solutions Ltd is headed by Stuart Pollard, whose experience covers the external audit of Local Government and National Health Service bodies, as well as a three year secondment to the Hong Kong Government. Stuart is supported by a team of experienced Consultant Auditors, with over 100 years of combined audit & business management experience between them.
The company was formed in response to the revised audit requirements in 2001, initially as a subsidiary of another company providing accountancy services to a number of councils. In order to ensure full independence, Stuart bought out his former co-directors and now owns the company in Partnership with his wife, Anne.
Auditing Solutions Ltd provides councils and various other related bodies such as charitable trusts with a range of services in addition to internal audit and independent examination, including accounting, risk management advice and guidance, consultancy and year-end Accounting Statement production.

Stuart was born in Bath and has lived around the city for most of his life. Initially a programmer with the Atomic Energy Authority, joining the Civil Service led to the chance to train as an auditor for the Ministry of Health where he spent six years as an external auditor of the NHS across the South and South West of England.
A three year appointment as the Chief Internal Auditor for the Urban Council and Urban Services Department of the Hong Kong Government preceded a return to external audit of the NHS as a Team Manager. Promotion to Audit Manager with responsibility for NHS and Local Government District Council Audits followed, with responsibility for the external audit of Town and Parish Councils. Stuart set up Auditing Solutions Ltd in 2001.
Anne was born in Trowbridge, Wiltshire and has lived in various parts of the county including Hampshire, Lincolnshire and Warwickshire, but now lives with her husband, Stuart, in a Wiltshire village near Melksham.
Anne worked for Barclays Bank for 27 years and also as an administrator for various Financial Institutions in Bath. She has also been a membership secretary for an art society and the BMW Car Club UK.
Anne is a keen tennis player and enjoys foreign travel.
Nigel lives on the outskirts of Swindon in Wiltshire with wife and family. A qualified accountant, Nigel runs his own accountancy business and payroll bureau service.
Allison is a qualified CIPFA Accountant. She joined the Audit Commission following her graduation from Loughborough University and worked there for 14 years. During this time she was involved in the audit of a variety of local government and NHS bodies, and had been promoted to Audit Manager by the time she left. She worked for 7 years from the Wiltshire office and then spent the next 7 years working from their headquarters in London. During her time in the capital, she completed a 2 year secondment at the National Audit Office.
Following her return to the West Country in 2011, she took some time away from work to focus on her young family. She joined Auditing Solutions as a Consultant Auditor in 2013.
Christopher is a CIPFA Accountant having trained in local government. He subsequently worked for the Audit Commission as an audit manager for 23 years during which time he was responsible for managing the audits of all tiers of local government including parish and town councils.
Specifically this involved work to provide the year end accounts opinion, systems audits and value for money reviews. Christopher also conducted reviews of risk management systems.
In 2012 he transferred to Grant Thornton where he worked on the audit of top tier councils and NHS bodies. On leaving Grant Thornton Christopher joined Auditing Solutions as a Consultant Auditor.
Diane spent the early years of her career working in the city as a finance administrator for British American Tobacco Ltd and built her career administering finances as a Senior Finance Officer/Manager of a small finance team within the education sector.
Diane went on to work for Meyado International for several years specialising in offshore banking & financial investments which included a short spell working in Hong Kong before returning to the education sector.
Diane setup and managed her own accountancy business which primarily served local Town & Parish Councils a sector she has worked in for the past 7 years.
Sally has worked in Public Sector Finance for over 30 years, both in Audit and Financial &Management Accounting roles.
Sally has worked in Education, Not for Profit organisations and has spent eighteen years working within the National Health Service.
Lately Sally has held the role of Responsible Finance Officer for a Parish Council in the Milton Keynes area.
Claire lives in Wiltshire and has a First Class BA (Hons) in Humanities with Classical studies. Originally working for global multinational organisations such as Goldman Sachs, Oracle. and Shell.
Claire was awarded the BAWE Women into Business Award in 1988, The FCEM Most Original New Business Award in 1999 and gained second place in the British Inventor of the Year Award in 1999.
Claire has spent the last fifteen years working as an interim consultant working in Finance and Project Management for Global Multinationals and Charities and is due to commence reading a PhD in Cuneiform and Mesopotamian studies in October 2019.
Adrian lives in the West Midlands and worked for HSBC for 33 years, during the last 15 years as a Finance and Leasing Manger negotiating and structuring contracts with public companies, large corporate companies and small & medium enterprises..
Adrian was also seconded to operational departments to assist in the development of systems and contracts and has worked in their Internal Audit Department, reviewing systems, controls and business operations.
.John qualified as an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in 1973, the year in which he formed his own accountancy practice which he later sold in 1988.
Latterly, John spent five years as Practice Manager and Accountant to three small firms of Solicitors and then nine years as Director of Administration in the London Office of Mayer Brown LLP, a major international Law firm. This was followed by eighteen months setting up the London Office of Greenburg Traurig Maher LLP, including the design of the firm's accounting systems to comply with Solicitors Accounts rules in England & Wales.
